The Hennala garrison area near the Lahti city center, known for its handsome red brick facades, will be offering residential and business premises in 2014. The historical and venerable area has 36 existing buildings. A variety of new residential and business premises for the garrison area and the surrounding neighborhood are being planned. Hennala will become a vibrant center for living, services and job opportunities for more than 10,000 inhabitants.
Together with the neighboring area Laune, Hennala already offers an abundance of shops, schools and day care centers. The new area will also be home to some public administration, cultural and sports venues, further commercial services as well as business and organization operations.
